I have created an android app that uses webview to load the spotify website and also spoofs it as a desktop, there is also ad blocking.
This app can either be used standalone but the UI is not scaled nicely OR can be turned on in the background and then use the original spotify app to remote control that instance.
Make sure to put the web loader app on "keep open" via recents menu.
